Datateq - Now Hiring Junior Software Developer

With the growth of the digital pen industry and with our successful market penetration, Datateq Australia is in search of a new junior software developer to join our team based in Sydney’s Castle Hill.

We are looking for someone who may be just out of uni/technical training with some limited experience - or even someone studying and looking for a good role in a technically challenging environment.

The type of person and skills we are looking for include:

An enthusiastic person with the desire to learn and the eagerness to work in a fairly new and constantly evolving technology - digital pen & paper systems.

Someone who likes diversity and doesn’t like to be pigeon holed into just one narrow job description because at Datateq we all work across different parts of the business and get involved in delivering the best solution to our clients.

Technical Experience required.
• ASP.NET 2.0 (C#, moving to .net 3.5 soon)
• MS SQL 2000 and 2005
• JavaScript

• XML / XSL
• CSS
• Understand Object Models

Tools Used
• Visual Studio 2008 and 2005
• MS SQL 2005 management tools

• Adobe Photoshop

Bonus experience if you have it (or even a good understanding)
• AJAX
• ActionScript coding (using Flex Builder IDE)

Educational requirement

Uni-graduate w/ at least 6 months experience are also welcome.

Preferred qualification:

• Computer Science,
• Computer Engineering or
• Mathematics
