Destiny Acquires Logitech’s Digital Pen Based on Anoto Technology

Some news that I am posting a bit late, towards the end of December Destiny UK announced it was buying all of Logitech’s digital pen IP and assets.

I think that is a brilliant move on Destiny’s behalf, effectively giving them full control over every aspect of the digital pen & paper supply chain for the suite of products & services that they offer. The only missing link is the Dot Pattern which is still supplied by Anoto.

Destiny acquires Logitech’s digital pen based on Anoto technology
Destiny has purchased Logitech’s assets and intellectual property rights (IP) relating to Logitech’s io2 digital pen. The io2 is based on Anoto Group’s technology and intellectual property rights. A result of the deal, is that the supply of the io2 pen to you, as our partner, and your customers worldwide is secured. The io2 pen will be a part of Anoto’s product range meaning that Anoto will distribute the io2 pen outside Destiny’s community. We will come back shortly with information about when we can expect the first batch of io2 pens.
