fireMAX - a Hit at Fire Australia 2007

I am sitting here at the FPA 2007 exhibition at Burswood in Perth while I write this on Tuesday 23rd October. The delegates have all just finished lunch and have gone in for their afternoon sessions.

The show has been great for us and I have had the chance to chat with many people from many companies across all manner of sectors in the Fire Protection industry.

The overall response from the people I have spoken with is great interest. Most had never come across the digital pen & paper technology before and saw great applications for their businesses to help improve the process of paper based reporting, especially for maintenance inspection reports and fire testing log books.

Our stand was pretty good (even if I do say so myself) with our new 3m x 3m poster wall (the bright light blue wall at the back) and a couple of LCD screens.

We shared a 6m x 2m booth with simPRO and showcased our digital pen interface with the simPRO software allowing job sheets to go through from the field straight through to the job management field in simPRO, creating a seamless field management reporting system. The benefits - faster for processing and faster invoicing leading to better real time reporting and better cash flow.

Interestingly there is a total of 3 digital pen companies here at the show - although that’s competetion for us, I feel that the fact there is a strong presence from this technology the response and acceptance from the fire industry will really benefit us all by helping create the digital pen as the industry testing standard.
